We will celebrate America250 with the same approach that shapes our business
every day: by backing innovation, investing in the communities in which we live and
work, and supporting the people and partnerships helping move the country

At the center of that commitment is our work to deliver a future without cigarettes.
We are harnessing science, innovation, investment, and partnerships to expand
modern nicotine alternatives for adults 21+ who would otherwise smoke. That work
includes the development and commercialization of products like ZYN and IQOS, as
well as continued investment in the people, ideas, and capabilities helping shape
America’s next chapter.
Introducing the $250,000 Community Futures Challenge
This summer, PMI U.S. will launch a nationwide search for ideas that can help solve pressing challenges and strengthen communities for the future. The initiative reflects our conviction that innovation is not limited to products or technology—it also lives in the ways communities solve problems, build resilience, and create opportunity.
The Community Futures Challenge will invite innovators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from across the country to put forward bold, practical solutions. Five winners will each receive $50,000 in funding to help accelerate their ideas and expand their impact.
Applications open later this month.
To support this search, PMI U.S. will launch an Innovator Series City Tour across five cities:
Nashville, TN; Stamford, CT; Pittsburgh, PA; Jacksonville, FL; and Phoenix, AZ. Each stop will spotlight local problem-solvers and bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and community organizations to explore how innovation and partnership can drive lasting impact.
