U.S. CEO

Stacey Kennedy

Known for her entrepreneurial drive, strategic vision, and capacity to engage across geographic, industry, and ideological boundaries, Stacey Kennedy has driven growth for PMI across markets in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Prior to her 2023 appointment to lead PMI U.S., she held leadership positions in general management, including President, South & Southeast Asia, and Managing Director of 15 markets in Europe, including Germany. Before this, she served as VP of Global Sales Strategy at our International Operations Center in Switzerland. Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree from Randolph College and an executive MBA from IMD. She is a member of PMI’s Global Executive Leadership Team and an officer of the company.

Joe

Ackerman

Joe Ackerman leads marketing strategy for PMI’s oral nicotine portfolio in the U.S. He brings three decades of commercial experience in the consumer goods and nicotine sectors, with a focus on brand development, innovation, and market expansion. Joe began his career in 1994 at Procter & Gamble before joining Frito-Lay’s Strategic Services division. In 2004, he moved to Swedish Match, where he held regional leadership roles and later became Marketing Director for Smoke-Free Products. In 2020, he was appointed Vice President of Marketing for Swedish Match’s U.S. smoke-free business, assuming responsibility for innovation and brand growth. Following PMI’s acquisition of Swedish Match, Joe was named to his current position. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of New Mexico and an MBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pete

Diatelevi

Pete Diatelevi leads trade marketing, pricing strategy, and sales support services. He joined PMI U.S. in 2024, bringing more than 25 years of experience in sales, general management, and strategic planning. Previously, Pete was President of ARC Consulting and CEO of Boldt Runners Corporation, where he oversaw rapid growth, capital raising, and product launches across international markets. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Altria, including Regional Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Customer Services, where he built high-performing teams and led major sales strategy initiatives. Pete holds a BS in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Tom

Hayes

Tom Hayes leads operations, strategic projects, and integration of smoke-free product initiatives, overseeing the manufacturing and supply chain for PMI U.S.’s portfolio of brands, including ZYN, and IQOS. He has worked at Swedish Match since 2006, serving in a number of financial roles, including Group Chief Financial Officer and, since 2020, as President of Swedish Match’s U.S. Division, guiding its growth and integration following PMI’s November 2022 acquisition. Earlier in his career, he was Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Controller / Chief Accounting Officer at Chesapeake Corp. Tom graduated with a degree in accounting from Wake Forest University and completed executive education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

U.S. Chief Science & Regulatory Strategy Officer

Dr. Matt

Holman

Dr. Matthew Holman leads the company’s U.S. tobacco harm reduction and regulatory strategy. Prior to joining PMI in 2022, Matthew spent more than 20 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, most recently as Director of the Office of Science at the Center for Tobacco Products. During his FDA tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping product review programs and regulatory decisions affecting millions of tobacco products. Matthew brings deep scientific expertise and regulatory insight to PMI’s efforts to provide smokefree products for U.S. smokers.

Seth

Kaufman

Seth Kaufman leads commercialization efforts across the U.S. smoke-free portfolio, including ZYN and IQOS. A seasoned executive with a strong track record in consumer-centric growth, team leadership, and operational transformation, Seth joined PMI in 2025 after leading an enterprise-wide restructuring as President and CEO at Vintage Wine Estates. He previously led Moët Hennessy North America as President and CEO and spent nearly 20 years at PepsiCo in senior marketing, sales, and general management roles. Seth holds a B.S. from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He serves as Vice Chair of the Immune Deficiency Foundation Board of Trustees.  

U.S. Chief External Affairs Officer

Keagan Lenihan

Keagan Lenihan oversees strategy and engagement across federal affairs, regulatory policy, third-party outreach, and scientific engagement. She joined PMI in 2022 after a 23-year career in Washington, D.C., that spanned senior leadership roles at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Department of Health and Human Services, as well as private sector roles at McKesson and Altoida. Keagan began her career on Capitol Hill, where she spent nearly a decade. She holds a degree in communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. 

U.S. Chief People & Culture Officer

Kaleen

Love, PhD

Dr. Kaleen Love leads the People & Culture function for PMI U.S., drawing on a unique background in social science, strategy, and organizational transformation. She joined PMI in 2021 to oversee global organizational strategy and assumed her current role in 2023, aligning talent priorities with the company’s mission of delivering a smoke-free future. Kaleen began her career in the public and nonprofit sectors before moving into consulting at McKinsey & Company and then into executive leadership at Capital One. She holds a master’s degree and a PhD in international development from the University of Oxford.

U.S. Chief Financial Officer

Peter

Luongo

Peter Luongo leads financial strategy and operations across the U.S. business, driving performance and supporting the company’s transformation agenda. Before relocating to the U.S. in 2022 to spearhead strategic initiatives, Peter held several senior leadership roles within PMI, beginning in 2013 as VP, Treasury & Planning, in Lausanne, and serving as Managing Director of PMI affiliate Rothmans Benson & Hedges (RBH) Canada. Under his leadership, RBH established a strong foundation to become a true multicategory player with one of the most comprehensive smoke-free product portfolios in the market. Before joining PMI, Peter was a partner at investment banking firm Centerview Partners LLC in New York.

U.S. Chief State Government Affairs Officer

Troy
Modlin

Troy Modlin oversees state-level engagement across all 50 states. In his two decades at PMI, he has held leadership roles across Asia and Europe, including Vice President of External Affairs for Southeast Asia and Director of Corporate Affairs in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. He began his PMI career in Switzerland and previously worked at Lockheed Martin and Leo Burnett. Troy holds a business degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from the University of Denver. 

U.S. Chief Compliance Officer

Gaye Montgomery

Gaye C. Montgomery leads the business’s ethics and compliance function. Before joining PMI U.S. in 2024, she served as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Black Buffalo Inc. and led the Global Compliance Practice Group at Altria, overseeing anti-bribery, antitrust, privacy, and sanctions compliance programs. Gaye is a former associate of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and the founder of The Women’s Compliance Collective, a live learning, capacity-building, and coaching community designed by and for women in compliance. She holds a JD from Yale Law School.

U.S. Associate General Counsel

Chris

Nolan

Chris Nolan has been a member of PMI’s legal department since 2003. Prior to his current role, he served as Assistant General Counsel for the Central Europe and EU regions (2003–2008), led the IP Law Group in Lausanne (2008–2013), and served on the Litigation & Investigations team (2014–2024). As Vice President, Associate General Counsel for PMI U.S., he leads a dedicated team of legal professionals with accountability across legal matters related to the U.S. businesses of PMI. Prior to joining PMI, Chris was a Partner at Winston & Strawn LLP. He holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School.

Silvain

Pastoris

Silvain Pastoris oversees manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and sustainability across three production sites and nine locations. Since joining PMI in 2012, he has held senior leadership roles in Switzerland and Germany, spearheading large-scale transformations and driving performance improvements.  In his current role, he is responsible for steering U.S. operations to support PMI’s strategic ambition to replace cigarettes with scientifically substantiated, smoke-free alternatives. Silvain holds an Executive MBA from IMD Business School and a master's degree in civil engineering from EPFL Lausanne.

U.S. Chief Information Officer

Sebastien

Pelerieau

Sebastien Pelerieau oversees all IT functions for the Americas at PMI U.S., driving large-scale digital transformation and supporting customer-centric innovation across sales, marketing, and commercial platforms. With over 15 years of experience at PMI, he has led global solutions, digital product teams, and commercial systems-integration projects, supporting the company’s delivery of a smoke-free future. Prior to his current role, he held senior IT leadership positions at PMI in Switzerland and Belgium, managing B2C and B2B2C solution portfolios, digital architecture, and trade engagement platforms. Sebastien holds a master’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Liège.

Brian

Quigley

Brian Quigley leads the execution of commercial plans to grow the company’s smoke-free portfolio. He brings to PMI more than 25 years of leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, food, and tobacco industries. Prior to PMI, he was CEO of Qnovia, a venture-backed pharmaceutical company, and held senior roles at Altria Group, including seven years as President & CEO of the Smokeless and Reduced Risk Products businesses.  

U.S. Chief Brand Officer

Francisca Rahardja

Francisca Rahardja oversees PMI U.S.’s marketing strategies, manages the positioning of various product brands, and drives overall business growth. Previously, she was Marketing Director at PMI affiliate Sampoerna Tbk. in Indonesia and Global Marketing Director of IQOS (2016–2019), helping expand PMI’s flagship heated tobacco brand from six test cities to more than 40 markets. Before joining PMI, Francisca held several positions at Altria Group, Inc., where she spent more than a decade supporting brand marketing initiatives, consumer innovation research, sales, and experiential programs across multiple brands. Francisca holds an MBA in marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Andre

Romero

Andre Romero is Chief Growth Officer for the U.S. businesses of Philip Morris International, responsible for bringing together the core business infrastructure—including business architecture, process, insights, analytics, and data—to accelerate strategic growth. With more than 20 years of experience in the U.S. consumer goods industry, Andre has held commercial leadership roles at Mondelez International, Campbell Foods, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, and Reynolds American. He holds an MBA from the UCF College of Business.

SVP Corp. Development & Senior Advisor to the U.S. CEO

Marian Salzman

A globally respected communications leader, Marian Salzman has held senior roles at Philip Morris International since 2018, including SVP, Global Communications, and SVP & Chief Corporate Citizenship Officer, U.S. Prior to PMI, she served as CEO of Havas PR North America, CMO at Porter Novelli and JWT Worldwide, and EVP and Chief Strategy Officer at Euro RSCG. An early digital pioneer, she co-founded CyberDialogue in the 1990s. Marian is the author or co-author of 18 books, most recently The New Megatrends: Seeing Clearly in the Age of Disruption. She holds an honors degree in sociology from Brown University and has completed half the credits toward a graduate degree in international affairs at Johns Hopkins University.

U.S. International Affairs & Chief Underage Prevention Officer

J.B.

Simko

J.B. Simko leads strategic engagement with U.S. stakeholders to advance priorities supporting international affiliates. He also guides U.S. corporate strategy for responsible marketing and sales practices. J.B. has held several key roles at PMI, including Chief Civil Society Officer, Vice President of Regulatory & Policy, and Associate General Counsel of Litigation. His work has helped advance harm reduction frameworks that support smoke-free alternatives for adult consumers. J.B. holds a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa.

U.S. Chief Communications Officer

Jody

Sunna

Jody Sunna leads corporate, civil society, and category communications across the U.S. business. A seasoned communicator with more than 20 years of experience in the U.S. and internationally, she is known for her ability to navigate complex communications challenges and deliver impactful storytelling, enhancing corporate reputation and driving engagement. Prior to PMI, she led the New York office of Havas PR North America, where her work won multiple awards and earned her a place on PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 list. A communications industry leader active in the Arthur Page Society and the Paley Media Council, Jody was named to Ragan’s “Top Women in Communications” Class of 2024. She is a graduate of Purdue University.
