Invested in U.S. Communities

We believe corporate citizenship begins with finding ways to make a positive impact. PMI U.S. is making strategic philanthropic investments to support the communities in which our employees and legal-age consumers live and work. From economic empowerment initiatives and our ongoing veterans’ support to matched giving programs and STEM education initiatives, we’re proud to partner with and invest in organizations that improve communities across America.

Stronger communities, better futures

PMI U.S. works every day to be a good neighbor in the communities where we live, work, and conduct business. We’re committed to strengthening the health and economic well-being of areas across the U.S. by giving back in ways that help people and communities for the long run.

PMI U.S. focuses on these areas of giving

Military and
veterans support

Meeting the diverse and growing needs of U.S. military members, veterans, and their families

Economic

empowerment

Making economic opportunity a reality for all through entrepreneurship programs and other local and grassroots services

Disaster prevention

and response

Working with local partners to assist preparedness and relief efforts through support of first responders and help for those in need in affected communities

Our community
giving approach

We work hard to give money and support where it will make the biggest difference. We engage with local groups to solve real problems and help communities in ways that last.

We believe a “give where you live” approach is best suited to meeting the unique needs of each community. That’s why we collaborate closely with local partners who are already doing great work.

Here’s a snapshot of our community impact:

In Colorado

$2M

investment

PMI U.S. is investing in veteran support programs, including the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project, and around $2 million over eight years to fund transitional housing in Aurora and Adams County. These contributions are in addition to our investments in manufacturing and jobs.

In Connecticut

$5M

investment

In 2024, PMI U.S. announced a $5 million, five-year partnership with the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC), a nonprofit that helps families become financially independent.

In Kentucky

$2.25M

investment

PMI U.S. has donated nearly $2.25 million to state and local causes, including Habitat for Humanity, Lady Veterans Connect, and tornado and flood relief efforts. These contributions help families rebuild their lives and create brighter futures and are in addition to our infrastructure and jobs investments.

In the Southern U.S.

$1M

investment

In 2024, PMI U.S. committed $1 million to disaster relief in several states adversely impacted by hurricanes and flooding, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

We work to be a trusted neighbor, supporting those in need, strengthening communities, and making a meaningful difference.

Our commitment

When an individual serves in the military, their spouse serves as well.

PMI U.S. collaborated with veterans organizations to produce a white paper that serves as a call to action on behalf of U.S. military spouses, who sacrifice so much in support of their partners and our country. Without these women and men shouldering responsibilities on the home front, a military career would be unfeasible for many of those currently in uniform.

A nationwide initiative to support veterans’ return to civilian life

In 2023, PMI U.S. launched a comprehensive program to improve the lives of America’s military veterans. A listening tour across several states informed our approach, which will include policy advocacy, making veterans and their spouses a priority in our hiring, sponsoring legal clinics, and supporting veterans-focused organizations, events, and initiatives.

Through this work, PMI U.S. aims to facilitate a smoother transition for veterans back into civilian life, acknowledging and honoring the sacrifices they have made for our nation.

Our people
